Hips For Hire Blog Moves to Word Press

In anticipation of the anniversary of my project launch Oct. 2, 2010, I've moved my project onto the WordPress platform.

What can you expect to happen?

1) I will no longer be maintaining the HipsForHire.blogspot.com site. All Hips For Hire blog posts, including guest blogger submissions, will appear on the blogpage of the relocated HipsForHire.com website now turned webblog.

2) Artists will be purchasing premium services at very low rates, and they will receive a blogpost about their work as well as a landing page featuring them with an attractive photo and a short video.

3) Visitors will enjoy a video a day, selected from Youtube and other Social Media tools. The video will highlight a lesser-known artist who I think you'll really enjoy, or who inspires me to be a better performer. You can submit requests to info@hipsforhire.com

4) Hips For Hire will be partnering with other companies that can help artists become more successful at what they do, including event planning companies, caterers, web design people, and more.

5) You'll be able to find affiliate links or Amazon links to products that help you as an artist build your business. More and more, I've seen that artists need the tools to help brand and advertise their work in a competitive market.

6) Hips For Hire will be adding artist interviews. Want to see inside a musician's home studio? Want to know how to create superior sound, lighting, or get just that right movement at the right time? You're going to love my roving camera work as I find you the artists and visual artists to follow.

Thanks for hanging out on the blogger site until I was ready to make the move. My thanks to Kristin Marshall for her time, attention, and skills to making my transition go smoothly.

Cultural Dance Mashup

Starting September 1, 2010, I'm attempting to highlight one performance art video from Youtube or other video services, gleaning from lesser-known yet talented people. In my quest to help artists get the notice they deserve, each video will bring you a little something special to brighten your day.

Here's a cultural mashup dance I found in Seattle. There was little other information provided other the than the title, Dance This Seattle 5 (please contact for more thorough credits):

Know a performance artist that deserves a little more airplay? Please forward video clip links or tips to info@HipsForHire.com.
